Just in case you're curious, here's whats going on in my hot mess of a life:

  • High school: done, over. About freaking time. I've only been stuck there for like forever and a half.
  • Graduation and Party: Getting all that over and done with this weekend (will post about it probably sunday night or monday)
  • Got a house: Finally. Just waiting on the loan paperwork to be finished and me and the roomies will be moving back to V-Dub in a nice big house. Super duper excited :)
  • Got my interview with a head honcho: Cuz I want to do nothing else but spend my life at McDonalds. At least I'll be a manager and be getting better money and hours.
  • Scheduled college classes: Got my summer classes scheduled and starting next month I will be in college.. now I just gotta figure out where to get a thousand dollars to pay for it. Taking donations! :)
  • Ready to enjoy my summer: Self explanatory. :)
So thats a little insight to my life. Stay classy readers

Dark Shadows Review & Adventure

So for those of you that share my love for Johnny Depp will know that he recently released a new movie called Dark Shadows.

My friend and I got this bright idea to go see it at the midnight showing in Fort Wayne because we love Johnny Depp. Duh. And needless to say, it was fantastic. Here's just some points I liked:

  • Johnny Depp was a sexy vampire
  • It was absolutely hilarious (It made a McDonalds reference that made me crack up)
  • The special effects was pretty awesome seeing as how it was a magical beings kind of movie
  • Plot line was pretty creative and made you think a bit
  • Casting was beautiful (No Robert Pattinson or Kristen Stewart is always a plus)
  • Johnny Depp was a sexy vampire (oh wait.. I said that.. still true)
  • It was dark and kinda scary but mostly funny and never boring
Overall, I absolutely loved it. Which is to be expected from a Tim Burton movie starring Johnny Depp. It's like the perfect combo. :) I highly recommend going to see it!

this just made me smile :)

The Adventure:
For those of you that know me, things never go like I plan them so here's a little story of the night we went to see Dark Shadows...

Pick up my friend and head off to Fort Wayne (with a full tank of gas). My phone dies on the way over so we don't have navigation but it can't be that hard to find Regal Cinemas right? Well sure if the Colosseum exit wasn't closed. Alright so we decide to just keep driving down 30. Some how we end up in Jefferson Point which is actually great! Cuz now we get to go to the Rave where the seats are awesome! Hurray!

Yes we wore Hello Kitty footy pajamas.

 We're so cute :)

 Johnny Depp!!! :D
So fun :)

The movie was great and we had a total blast but then we realized we had no die how we got to the Rave and still had no navigation and it was now 2am. So we just started driving back the way we came but then we made the fatal mistake of taking the wrong turn when the road forks and ended up in the middle of Payne.

This is just a rough estimate but A is where we started. B is the Rave. C is Payne (though I bet we took a more jacked up way to get there but you get the point). D is New Haven because after we got to Payne and the road we were following was closed, we took a detour. Then that road was closed and we got stuck driving on this all stone road out in BFE going 20 mph for forever. It was awful. And somehow we ended up back in New Haven. No idea how. At all. But we did then we went the other way and got home. Thank god. It was quite an adventure to say the least. Only us... I swear...

Hair Dying Adventure

Soooooo the title says it all. Courtney, Jen, and I decided to do some hair dying!

We're so cute :)

Alrighty so here is what my hair looked like prior to Courtney getting a hold of it:

Annnnnnnnd after:

Thennnn we bleached the tips:

Finally, we attempted to dye the tips blue/green (fail..):

For your own enjoyment, funny pics:

hahaha Nick's hair after bleaching but before adding blue

Oh and then we didn't have enough fun dying our hair and Nick's so I did Austin's :)

And that was our adventure with hair dye :)

The Hunger Games Review

Okay so this is only ridiculously late but I'm gonna write it anyways!

Like a month ago now, The Hunger Games came out in theaters. If you didn't know, before it was originally a book (which I HIGHLY recommend). So I went and saw the movie because I had read the book and heres my opinions:

  • Amazing effects- especially with all of the Capital futuristic stuff and some of the stuff during the actual games
  • Extremely well casted- The characters really matched how the book portrays them
  • Matched the book VERY well- You know how they always make books into movies and then they are no where near the same? Well it really wasn't the case with this pair. The movie was almost exactly like the book except for the background story behind the Mockingjay pin. However, I personally liked the movie's explanation better because honestly, her friend appears in the series like twice and is really a very unimportant character. Therefore, to save time and confusion, they took her out and changed it so that Prim gave her the pin which I thought made it more sentimental.
  • Very upbeat and full of suspense- Especially when the mutant dog things come out. No one can say they didn't jump the first time.
  • Relationships between characters were very well developed
  • Music was pretty good

I loved the movie so much and can't wait til it comes out on DVD. My only complaint is that they maybe didn't spend enough time on the games when they should have but otherwise I loved every bit of it and I high recommend seeing it if you haven't!

Blog Neglect!

Ahhhhh! I'm so sorry all my dedicated readers! Things have been super crazy lately so I haven't been able to post much.

Alrighty, so since I last posted I've actually moved out of my house in Van Wert and moved in with my friend Jen, her husband, Nick, and their 4 year old twin boys, Devon and Phillip (who happen to be the most adorable twins in the entire world). So it's been quite a learning experience because I now do my own laundry, cook, grocery shop, clean, ect. It's been fun and I'm definitely glad I did it.

And! Now I'm back and there will probably be about 5 different posts just tonight so stay tuned, lovelies! (:
