Things I Love: My Nook

One of my many pieces of technology is my Nook by Barnes and Noble that I'm completely and totally in love with. I've always been a big reader so having a ton of books at my finger tips is just beautiful. The thing I like best about it is that there is no back light and therefore no glare. The E-ink technology is just the coolest and it just makes me so happy. :)

If you're a big reader and are looking for something along these lines I highly recommend this model and happy reading :)

Meet The Twins!

So I know I've mentioned them at least once on here. Generally referred to as "the twins", "the hoodlums", "the boys", or "my little brothers", I feel like I should introduce these little punks (:

Theres the boys. (: They are actually my roommates sons. They are Devon and Phillip and they are 4 years old. I gotta tell you, they are the most adorable little kids ever. And I love them (:

Change of Season: Fall

I'm legitly so excited for Fall. I love summer, don't get me wrong but fall is definitely my favorite season. I mean what's not to love? Bonfires, leaves changing colors, cappuccinos, hoodies, jeans, converse, etc. I'm so excited.

This will be my basic outfit all fall prolly.

Oh and of course the other thing that comes with fall..

I love football. I really do. I love my Buckeyes and my Browns (even though they suck.) and this year my boyy and his family are trying to get me to join the Steelers' band wagon. But my father would prolly murder me. We'll see though. I must say I've loved spending the last couple sundays curled up with him watching football. (:

I'll be sure to start posting pictures of my adventures this fall since I've already experienced new things like tractor pulls and net fishing in my boyy's pond. So keep checking in readers (:

Pinterest Rant

This is long overdue.

Okay, I know I'm not the only one who notices it. You know, when you're just browsing Pinterest, looking at cute clothes, hair style, DIYs, animals, tattoos, etc then all the sudden you see a picture of a half naked female (usually. Not trying to stereotype) saying something like "this is you in 6 months" and shes like ripped. Or before and after pictures when they "lost 200 pounds with no exercise" or just stupid stuff.

I fully understand that the female mentality looks like this (after all, I'm a teenage girl.)

I'm not going to go into a rant about how every girl is beautiful (because they are). Another time, another post. Promise.

What frustrates me is that these posts on Pinterest are some times advertising diet pills and risky procedures. Women of the world, YOU DON'T NEED IT. I understand that you may not always like your body but who cares? As long as you have your family and friends (who I guarantee don't care) why? You need to be comfortable with yourself and your life. And after that if you wanna lose weight just cuz (do it for you. No one else. Not a guy, friend, whatever. Just you) then go out and run. Go to the YMCA or gym near you and release some stress. Cut pop or candy out of your diet. Whatever you wanna do but don't resort to diet pills and surgery. You're better than that.

Personally, I'm sick of seeing half naked people on pinterest. Congrats! You lost weight and look awesome! Join a dieting site or blog your progress where I can avoid it. I just wanna look at puppies not your belly.

My opinions. Love them or hate them. What're yours?

Fairrrrr

One of the best things about back-to-school time is that it's also fair time in little northwest Ohio. I love fair. A lot.

Allen County Fair

Hee hee. (: We're so cute. Even if Grace is yelling at someone. lol. Anyways, we went to the Allen County fair one night and it was tons of fun. Mostly because it's like 2+ times bigger than Van Werts. Plus we almost stole some Hedgehogs from the petting zoo. Then we got to meet up with some friends and it was a lot of fun. (:

Van Wert County Fair
Grace was the Poultry Princess. (: We played with her chickens and it was a lot of fun. Plus we got some pretty awesome fair food.

You're welcome.

Update.

For those of you that care, this is much needed. For those of you that don't, sorry.

SO. Just this week a lot has happened...

First of all, I wrecked my car. Yes, my pretty little purple cruiser is pretty messed up..

Story: I was going to my dads and I got off the exit and I took the turn wayyy too fast (cuz I drive like an idiot) and didn't realize I was that close and hit the guard rail pretty good. Can't even open the passenger side door. I'm fine but I did like $1300 worth of damage. Luckily, we are requesting that they not fix the corner panel so I should only have to pay $200 for my deductible and Scott (my mother's husband) is going to fix the corner panel. So big shout out and thank you to him and my insurance agent as well as Superior Collision who is gonna fix my baby!

Downside: I'm stuck driving my dad and step mom's old Dodge Town and Country farm van for at least 2 weeks since the shop is all backed up. Which is better than nothing so big thank you to them for lending it to me so I can make it to work and such!

Secondly, I nearly broke my hand and got to spend some time in Van Wert Emergency Room Monday night...

Story: not nearly as exciting as my wreck. I was walking by one of the counters at work and slammed my left hand into the corner pretty hard and it hit right between the two bones and there is still a pretty nice bump where I hit it. Got x-rays done and its just badly bruised and should be okay in a week or so. For now, it really freaking hurts.

Third, I had to drop this semester of classes. With my wreck setting me back $200 and my insurance ($700) due on November 1st, I just can't afford to pay the tuition and I've missed so much class cuz I have to go to work to pay for the stupid things that my grades suffered so I'm just gonna try again in the Spring. Honestly, I'm already 10 credit hours ahead cuz of summer school so I'm not worried about graduating on time and I'm excited to get a fresh start in the spring after I've had time to pay off all my debt and save some.

So thats whats going on... I've pretty much been a disaster and my poor boyfriend has had to hear/see me cry about twenty times. But hes the best and has helped me a lot through all of it and I can't thank him enough. But enough of the sappiness. I'll survive and I have tons to get done with management (which I love) and I have a crazy weekend ahead with watching my boyy play football and truck pulls in Paulding tomorrow, going to a party with my boss and working 5-1am saturday, and a baby shower and watching football with my boyy on sunday (silly kid is trying to turn me into a Steelers fan). Its gonna be tons of fun. I can't wait :)

Thankful

Alrighty, clearly I've been missing for a while but it's not exactly easy being a full time student, full time employee, friend, and then I added girlfriend to my list of jobs. So it's kinda rough currently but I'll have plenty on that later. For now, I'd like to share somethings that I'm extremely thankful for.

Health. For the most part I'm generally healthy. Even though I barely ever eat and practically never sleep. Oh and allergies. I hate allergies.

School. Which I hate. and it sucks. A lot. But I'm thankful that I have the opportunity to go. I guess.

House. I'm extremely thankful I have a place to live where I can come and go and get everything done and whatever.

Job. I'm thankful to even have a job. And I really do love my job and this promotion makes me extremely happy. So it can't get much better there. Plus it pays my bills and my coworkers rock (:

Roommates. I easily have the best roommates ever. The twins make me smile when I don't want to and Jen is just an angel. I love her so so so much. And Nick is pretty cool too. lol.

Car. Even though it's a piece of crap, it still runs which is always good.

Friends. I love my friends. They are my lifesavers and I simply don't know what I would do without them. Especially Grace. (:

Boyfriend. He's just simply amazing and I can't thank him enough. From letting me call him at all hours of the night just to vent about stupid people to coming over and watching movies all evening and just helping me get through all of this crap lately. I just can't imagine him not being here and I'm so thankful for him. (:

Family. Just the best. My mom and dad who have both helped me out a ton while I'm trying to get through school and my baby twin who is just amazing and I can go to about everything. I'm just so thankful. (:
